US soybean crush for June higher than expectations

The US National Oilseed Processer’s Association (NOPA) on Wednesday reported the monthly June US soybean crush at 167.3 million bushels. That exceeded trade average forecasts of 162.2 million bushels from Reuters and 162.9 million from Bloomberg News by about 4.5-5.0 million bushels.

The NOPA crush was up 18.4 million bushels from last June at 148.8 million bushels. US soybean oil stocks were lower than the trade average forecast against expectations that stocks should have been higher, especially when the crush was about 5 million more than expected.
