Live table of pre-Wasde estimates for US corn, soybeans, wheat

The US Department of Agriculture will on Thursday, November 9 unveil its latest edition of its monthly Wasde crop report, a key feature of the ag investor’s calendar.

 

At this time of year, US corn and soybean production estimates are among figures particularly closely watched by investors.

 

Pre-report estimates so far are listed below. Agrimoney will update the list as the Wasde approaches.

 

 

Reuters poll: Corn yield of 172.4 bushels per acre, (range of estimates, 171.7-174.0 bpa)

Corn production of 14.333bn bushels, (range of estimates, 14.25bn-14.459bn bushels)

 

Soybean yield of 49.3 bushels per acre, (range of estimates, 48.9-49.9 bpa)

Soybean production of 4.408bn bushels, (range of estimates, 4.375bn-4.467bn bushels)

 

 

 

Informa Economics: Corn yield of 173.4 bushels per acre, and production of 14.410bn bushels.

Soybean yield of 49.7 bushels per acre, and production of 4.447bn bushels.

 

FCStone: Corn yield of 173.7 bushels per acre, and production of 14.434bn bushels.

Soybean yield of 49.9 bushels per acre, and production of 4.467bn bushels.

 

Futures International: Corn yield of 172.2 bushels per acre, and production of 14.038bn bushels.

Soybean yield of 49.3 bushels per acre, and production of 4.412bn bushels.

 

Lanworth: Corn yield of 171.3 bushels per acre, and production of 14.2bn bushels.

Soybean yield of 49.3 bushels per acre, and production of 4.40bn bushels.

 

Price Futures: Corn yield of 172.5 bushels per acre, and production of 14.335bn bushels.

Soybean yield of 49.1 bushels per acre, and production of 4.396bn bushels.

 

 

The USDA’s current estimates are:

Corn yield of 171.8 bushels per acre, and production of 14.280bn bushels.

Soybean yield of 49.5 bushels per acre, and production of 4.431bn bushels.

 

 

The Reuters poll also showed estimates for US crop stocks at the close of 2017-18:

Corn: 2.366bn bushels, (range of estimates, 2.286bn-2.438bn bushels)

Soybeans: 420m bushels, (range of estimates, 377m-461m bushels)

Wheat: 957m bushels, (range of estimates, 940m-980m bushels)

 

The USDA’s current estimates are 2.34bn bushels for corn, 430m bushels for soybeans, and 960m bushels for wheat.

 

The Reuters poll showed estimates for world crop stocks at the close of 2017-18:

Corn: 201.18m tonnes, (range of estimates, 197.6m-203.5m tonnes)

Soybeans: 95.5m tonnes, (range of estimates, 93.0m-97.0m tonnes)

Wheat: 266.78m tonnes, (range of estimates, 261.0m-269.0m tonnes)

 

The USDA’s current estimates are 200.96m tonnes for corn, 96.05m tonnes for soybeans, and 268.13m tonne for wheat.
