In the UK, chicken restauranteur KFC has reverted to its former logistical partner, DHL, after the US fast food chain was forced to temporarily close hundreds of stores after it ran out of chicken following the handover of its logistics contract to DHL and QSL.



Monsanto received approval from Brazil for its genetically modified soybean seed Intacta2 Xtend.


Monsanto said in a statement that the new seed variety is engineered to resist weed killers

dicamba and glyphosate, in addition to protecting the crop against certain species of Spodoptera caterpillars.


The company plans to start selling the new technology in Brazil in 2020.



Domestic milk production in January fell 5% year-on-year according to Fonterra’s most recent global dairy update due to weather conditions impacting overall collection volumes throughout New Zealand.


Milk production in Australia, Europe and US increased 4%, 1% and 1% respectively in the same period.


The company’s milk collection decreased 8% to 158m kilogrammes of milk solids and Fonterra Australia milk collection increased 32% to 14m kilogrammes of milk solids.
